Bunny halloween costume for a guy?

I'm dressing up as Hugh Hefner and my boyfriend wants to be a bunny (not a playboy bunny, just the animal). What are some ideas for his costume besides bunny ears and a tail? What sort of outfit should he wear if he doesn't want to buy a bunny suit? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!
