Did people dislike Kate Winslet more because of her aweful Best Actress speech?

I didn't think people were that fickle, I guess I was wrong, then? I think Winslet is an absolute doll. She could have cursed the heavens, orphans, and puppies, and I still would have this opinion. She won the award, let her have whatever wicked words fall from her mouth.
