Can i use the same at&t sim card from my normal phone in a pda such as the at&t tilt? or will it cost money?

i think im going to buy the tilt on ebay but i dont know if im gunna be charged extra or whatever and if i can use the same sim card or if i'll have to buy a new one. please help asap
