College graduation...is it customary for gifts?

I know when I graduated high school I was send tons of monetary gifts. I didn't tell or have anyone to tell when I graduated college with my first degree. I will be graduating with my second BA in December. Is it socially acceptable to send out invitations or notices of graduation like high school? Wasn't sure what the policy on this type of situation was and I didn't want to be a jerk about it... "GIVE ME MONEY!" lol
