What did the bus driver mean to say?

I got on a bus, the bus driver seemed to be hurry to reach the destination on time, so the moment I stepped on the bus, he started driving immediately. Also there were so many sudden turns on the streets, so I was struggling to balance myself for a while before I could validate my bus ticket and settled myself on a seat. When I finished validating, the driver said "it's a pleasure". I didn't understand and said "pardon?". He repeated " I said it's a pleasure". What did he mean?
