What is the problem with my computer?

You have done all the right things. Usually, when you start getting display artifacts it's from overclocking or one of the circuits on the board is bad or going out. Without a driver it's not stressed. When you add the driver it is. I think you will solve your problem with a new card. After 3 years it's time anyway ;-)
