What was the radioactive item in the House episode Daddy's Boy?

It was Season 2, Episode 5. It was a tiny bulb shaped thing that the kid's dad put on a keychain for him from a junkyard, and he didn't realize it was some industrial part that was really radioactive and it eventually killed the guy.
